DEMO 12.2.04 12:25pm

Here's an idea that I started but never finished. When I created it, I guess I thought a good name for it would be ‘Vipers.’ Oooh yeah I bet that sounded so cool at the time.

The first file is dated 12.2.04. As you’ll hear it’s just a drum track that I created on the Roland DR-880. Since I had no idea how to separate out all the different drum sounds (kick, snare, hi-hat, etc), I simply programmed all the tracks on the drum machine and transferred a master track over to ProTools, which left me with little room for editing later on as you can imagine since the drums were just one big track. But hey I only had so much command of the technology back then.

The second version is dated 4.28.05, almost five months after I came up with the initial drum idea. I decided to increase the tempo and add guitars and bass as well. This version is still pretty remedial and repetitive though. I'm fairly sure this idea was the inspiration for something more fully developed, but I'd be guessing if I attributed the inspiration to any specific track. Anyway that's that for this one.
